Warda

Warda (meaning "Rose" in Arabic) is a song and a vocalist. There is a Warda Medley that is popularly used in the US and found in the

Bellydance Superstars CD set as well as other CDs. At least the main opening tune from the "Warda" medley is from Warda´s song "

Hobak Wesl Madah" that originally appeared on Warda´s tape "Erga Lehaytak" and is featured also on collection album with title "Warda".

So at least part of the tune named Warda really has been originally sung by Warda... original song is quite long.

Also probably some parts on that Asena CD-version are modern arrangements done by Turkish musicians - on Asena´s CD

(which is produced by Ibrahim Tatlises and musicians are famous Turkish musicians but *NOT* a band named Warda )

it is mentioned that the composer is "unknown" so at least they do not claim it to be their creation... and obviously this tune

and title were just copied to BDSS CD without questioning the origin as unfortunately it is still too typical that Turkish or Arabic

CD:s do not include original credits. (From Kahire on Bhuz.com)
